LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Reese Witherspoon is not dead. Reese Witherspoon is battling two different fake death stories today, the first claiming that she was stabbed to death and the second claiming that she died of natural causes. While some fans are confused about the erroneous reports, others are angered. Also battling false death reports today August 8, 2012 are Usher and Wiz Khalifa, yet again.
Reese Witherspoon is rarely the subject of fabricated death stories. While Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler are the most frequent actors to be victimized by the false claims, those reports usually involve fake plane, train and car crashes. Such is not the case with Reese today.
One false report claims that Witherspoon died after a fabricated attack. The report erroneously claims “Reese Witherspoon was stabbed to death today”. But today is not the first time that invented tale has been used against Reese. She was subjected of the same tale back in 2006 and again four years later.
A second false story posted today claims to be an “anticipated obituary.” With the story “Reese Witherspoon is dead”, one website is claiming that Reese will be pronounced dead, not today, but on Friday. “She died on August 10, 2012, at the age of 36″, claims the bizarre website. “The news has left the world shocked and saddened” asserts the fabricated story. As one fan wrote “I would believe this, except it’s August 8th today”.
In fact, the actress is not the only celebrity that the bizarre website claims will die on Friday. “Wiz Khalifa … died on August 10, 2012, at the age of 24″, the site asserts.
Also the victim of false reports today is Usher. Global Associated / Mediafetcher is erroneously claiming that Usher died in a car crash today. Usher was the victim of the same report in June of this year. Usher quickly denounced the report at the time, telling news that he was “never scared, never dead … just looking for myself.”
Reese, Usher, and Wiz aren’t dead. Adam Sandler hasn’t been in a snowboarding crash in Zermatt, David Guetta didn’t crash his car on Route 80, and Eddie Murphy didn’t fall off a mountain top today either.
