Brazil vs Argentina 2012 will pair up the second place Group B team versus the third place Group A team in these Olympics. Argentina ended its preliminary round with two losses and three wins. Brazil finished only slightly better with four wins, one loss.

But the single most effective player for Brazil through this tournament has been Leandro Barbosa (Toronto Raptors). Barbosa delivered sixteen points as the leading Brazilian scorer in the team’s debut win against Australia. In the team’s narrow one point loss to Russia, Barbosa again delivered sixteen points. But Barbosa shocked news after he delivered a tournament-best twenty-three points to defeat Pau Gasol’s Team Spain this week.

Argentina’s star, however, has been Luis Scola (Phoenix Suns). Scola shocked news with his stunning thirty-two point game to give team Argentina an enormous 102-79 win against powerhouse Lithuania.

Scola has also been effective on rebounds. Against Tony Parker’s Team France, he delivered Argentina its most rebounds (eight). Against Tunisia, Scola did the same, delivering ten rebounds. But earlier this week, he shocked news analysts with twenty-two of Argentina’s ninety-three points in defeating Team Nigeria.
