Jon Gosselin Hits Rock Bottom? Kate Gosselin Says No
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Hours after “Jon Gosselin Hits Rock Bottom” stories swirled online, someone read one of those news reports and found error with them: Kate Gosselin’s attorney. Jon Gosselin yesterday told news that he has hit rock bottom, that he can’t afford to pay anymore child support, and that he could end up in jail because he can’t provide for his children anymore. But nothing could be further from the truth, claims Kate Gosselin’s attorney.
Kate’s lawyer tells news today that Jon’s statements to news this week were completely fabricated. Moreover, she says that the issue is not disputable because of a certain document: a Court order in April ending Jon’s obligations for child support, forever.
In shocking news statement today, Cheryl Young, attorney for Kate, says she has no idea while Jon is running around to news media claiming he can’t afford anymore child support. Because an April 27, 2012 order, sought by Kate, permanently relieved Jon of ever having to pay anymore child support.
In a news statement, Young says of Jon “I read Jon’s statement… and was quite surprised to read that he claims to be struggling to keep his child support payments current. As of April 27, 2012, Kate voluntarily relieved Jon of all current and future child support obligations for their eight children.” In fact, Young claims that Jon knows he doesn’t have to pay anymore support. “Kate and Jon talked and worked through all of these issues and she withdrew the child support.” Jon and Kate reportedly still own the million dollar mansion featured in the last seasons of the TLC reality show.
