Murrieta Volcano Fire Map Prompts California Wildfire 2012 Concerns

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Murrieta Volcano Fire map expanded today as the California wildfire spread. The Murrieta, California Fire aka the Volcano Fire today August 1, 20012 is burning near La Cresta, threatening homes on Valle Vista.
Official tell news that the fire erupted Tenaja Road and Via Volcano this morning. The Volcano Fire is currently near La Cresta. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire is responded with air and ground support. The Volcano Fire has currently burned four hundred acres. Riverside County fire officials tell news that the fire is only twenty percent contained.
The fire which erupted on Clinton Keith and Tenaja roads this morning is being fueled by dense brush and high winds. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered in the vicinity after one home was lost today. Six air tankers and thirty-five trucks are on scene. A task force of 233 firefighters are being aided by four helicopters currently.
The fire is burning west of the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Chief John Hawkins said in news briefing moments ago. Containment efforts have improved; the fire switched from 5% containment at noon to 20% containment by 4 PM PST. Road closures currently in place include Clinton Keith Road from Avenida La Cresta to Tenaja Road.
