Oklahoma Fire Maps Expand as Calumet, Stillwater Wildfires Spread

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Oklahoma fire maps are expanding today as Calumet and Stillwater wildfires are spreading. Oklahoma fires are prompting trouble today July 30, 2012 for Canadian County and Payne County. But local news has yet to report any evacuations. Structures are being threatened in Stillwater. Yet no structures have been reported damaged as of 5:38 PM EST.
The first fire is strike in Stillwater, News9 reports. The fire is currently burning close to Highway 51 and Stokes Road. Large plumes of grey smoke are blanketing the ski. Power outrages are reportedly widespread. Cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials initially suspect that power lines may have caused the blaze to erupt.
A second fire is spreading in Calumet as well. News9 reports the second fire is located near Highway 66 and Calumet Road. No cause of the fire remains unknown. No structures are yet reported threatened by local news.
