ND Tiwari is Rohit Shekhar Father, DNA Test Results Reveal

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – ND Tiwari is Rohit Shekhar’s father, DNA test results revealed today. Indian politician ND Tiwari and Ujjwala Sharma are the biological father and mother of Rohit Shekhar, a Delhi High Court told news today. The results culminated a multi-year legal fight between the son and father.
In a shocking news announcement today, Justice Reva Khetrapal of the Delhi High Court ruled today that Tiwari, 87, is the father of Shekhar, 32. The news announcement was made without any appearance by Tiwari’s attorney in court.
”Accordingly let the sealed cover, received from CDFD Hyderabad be opened and the report be placed on the file, which would be available to the parties only”. The Court added that “Result of the DNA report can be declared in court by the single judge, but no copy of the report be given to any of the parties,” said Delhi High Court.
Shortly after the results were announced to news, Tiwari issued the following statement. “I have every right to live my life my way. No one has the right to look into my private life. Please respect my privacy”. N D Tiwari is the former Chief Minister of UP and Uttarakhand and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
Today’s results culminated a dispute that began with a 2008 suit filed by Shekhar. In April, Tiwari had to submit blood for testing. In December 2009, he was removed from his post as Governor of Andhra Pradesh following an allegedly flirting scandal.
The legal battle is far from over. Shekhar issued the following statement to news following the results. “His legal troubles have just begun. He will pay now for all the hurt he caused my mother.”
The case was previously dismissed and was the subject of at least seven appeals. Previously the court ruled that “The wider interest of a child … has to be kept in mind…the court cannot disregard the right of a child to know his or her biological father.”
