Calenche Ranae Manos, Miss Nevada 2007, Sues LA Sheriff’s Dept

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Calenche Ranae Manos, Miss Nevada 2007, is suing the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. Calenche Ranae Manos claims that she suffered damages from alleged negligence, false imprisonment and civil rights violations by Sheriffs during a raid gone wrong. City officials have yet to comment about the suit.
Calenche Ranae Manos dominated news in 2007 winning the Miss Nevada beauty pageant. But four years later, Manos was living in Los Angles with her boyfriend Eric Otto Ryder.
In her lawsuit, Manos claims that one night she and Ryder were asleep, unclothed, inside their Los Angeles area apartment when deputies allegedly broke into their apartment with a search warrant. But Manos claims that the search warrant was for an apartment “C” and her front door clearly was marked with apartment “A”.
Manos asserts that the situation got worse thereafter. She claims that, during the bungled raid, the male sheriffs pointed guns at her and her boyfriend, unclothed, and demanded her to get out of bed in front of them unclothed. “The sheriff deputies, all of which were male and armed with guns, ordered Ms. Manos to get out of bed and then watched as she attempted to do so,” the lawsuit asserts.
She claims that at least one sheriff make inappropriate remarks after she walked in front of them unclothed at gunpoint.
