Wiz Khalifa Not Dead – Fake Death Reports Strike Rapper, Again

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Wiz Khalifa is not dead today. Lil Wayne was the leading target of fake celebrity death stories two years ago, but Wiz Khalifa is slowly becoming the biggest target of erroneous stories this year. Currently, there are no less than a handful of fake death reports striking Wiz Khalifa, more than those striking Mac Miller, Waka Flocka Flame. Wiz hasn’t died, but fans are irate and confused about the latest round of fabricated claims surfacing online.
Since fall 2011, more Wiz Khalifa fake death reports have begun to surface online. But last night, the latest round grew. Wiz did not die in a Jet Ski crash in Turks and Caicos Island today. The rapper wasn’t on a luxury yacht off St Tropez France today. And he wasn’t driving on Route 80 as well.
But at least those three fake celebrity death reports striking Khalifa today are prompting fan confusion. In fact, Wiz remains one of the few celebrities to be the listed with another celebrity in a fake celebrity death report this year.
When these fabricated tales are authored, they using strike one celebrity a time. The crazy tales usually involve a celebrity falling, crashing, flipping, or being involved in some other large than life event. But rarely, if ever, are two celebrities listed in one fake death report.

Global Associated, aka Media Fetcher, has received nearly seven hundred re-tweets of a fabricated tale authored last year directed and Mac Miller and Wiz. The false Global story is a pre-written death story into which Wiz and Mac’s names are inserted.
Hence, a quick perusal of the language shows it’s false. “Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell” claims the fake report. But it adds “He was pronounced dead at the scene” and that “Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa lost control while driving”. Apparently two people were driving a car simultaneously.
Wiz is not in France today, and is not on a yacht anywhere this Thursday. But Global claims he has sunk somewhere overseas. In a second fake tale, Global writes “The French Maritime Gendarmerie, a division of the French Navy responded to distress calls from 10 persons aboard a 120′ luxury yacht cruising off of the coast of St. Tropez.” Other celebrities to have been sunk in fake death reports recently include Diddy and 50 Cent.
But if fans weren’t irate enough to hear about fake crash and sinking stories, there is always still an infamous jet-ski crash claim. Wiz wasn’t in Turks and Caicos today and wasn’t on a jet-ski. But Global claims he was, perishing on a jet-ski. The same fake death report has previously been used against Tiger Woods as well. Wiz isn’t dead, nor is Mac Miller, Lil Wayne, or Diddy.
