Tuscaloosa Bar Shooting Erupts Inside Copper Top Bar

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A Tuscaloosa bar shooting erupted inside the Copper Top Bar today. The Tuscaloosa bar shooting today July 17, 2012 has left seventeen persons injured and three in serious conditions. The shooter’s name has not been identified to news. Moreover, police confirm that no arrests have been made.
The Tuscaloosa bar shooting erupted shortly after 12:30 am today. The violence erupted inside the popular Copper Top Bar. The shooter is believed to have fled the scene since police confirm that the assailant has not been taken into custody.
Officials put local streets onto lockdown. Officials would not tell news if a manhunt is underway. Sgt. Brent Blankley, with the Tuscaloosa Police, tells news that DCH on University Blvd is among the streets on lockdown currently.
As of 6 am local time, seventeen persons are injured, three in serious condition, and no suspect is in custody. Local news is reporting that the shooting is related to a recent shooting in the Indian Lakes Subdivision in Northport.
A press conference is scheduled for later today. The bar is a popular hangout for University of Alabama students. Officials have yet to indicate if any of the victims were students.
