Russia Earthquake Today 2012 Strikes East Coast

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A strong Russian earthquake today 2012 struck the east cost of Kamchatka. The Russia earthquake today July 16, 2012 erupted in the early evening hours. No reports of damage have yet to be detailed by local news.
Shortly after 4 pm local time today, a 5.5 magnitude quake struck Russia, USGS reports to news. The quake was centered forty-eight miles below the earth’s surface. As a result, the quake was felt across the immediate vicinity.
USGS indicates to news that the quake struck fifty-eight miles southwest of Starvyy. The quake was roughly two hundred miles northeast of Yelizovo, Russia. News reports put the quake northeast of Kamchatskiy and Vilyuchinsk.
In related news, a strong Peru earthquake struck late Sunday. The quake erupted at 3 pm local time and registered a 5.0 magnitude, USGS reports to news. The quake, however, had a substantial depth, striking forty-three miles below the earth’s surface The quake was twenty-two miles west of Talavera.
The quake erupted thirty miles from Andahuaylas and sixty miles southeast of Huanta, USGS reports to news. No damage has yet to be indicated.
