Turkey Earthquake Today 2012 Felt in Greece

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A strong Turkey earthquake today 2012 could be felt in sections of Greece. The Turkey earthquake today Monday, July 09, 2012 erupted in the early afternoon. No reports of damage have yet to be details by local news.

The Turkey earthquake today was centered in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. USGS reports to news that the quake was southwest of mainland Turkey and southeast of Greece.

USGS indicates to news that a 5.6 magnitude quake erupted today at 4:55 PM local time. The quake, however, had a moderate depth. USGS indicates to news that quake erupted thirty-five miles below the earth’s surface.

The quake struck fifty-one miles southwest of Kalkan, Turkey. The quake was sixty-eight miles southeast of Rodos, Greece, officials tell news. The quake erupted sixty-nine miles south of Fethiye, Turkey and the same distance southeast of Trianta, Greece. No injuries have been reported by local news.

In related news, a series of sub 2.0 magnitude quake have been happening outside of Victorville today. The most recent quake began moments ago at 11:03 am and was centered northeast of Apple Valley. The quake was fourteen miles from Victorville, USGS indicates to news, and nineteen miles from Barstow.
