Aisikaier Fall Video Prompts Safety Concerns

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A new Aisikaier fall video is prompting safety concerns. Aisikaier, the Chinese acrobat tightrope walker, fell this week during a 2,200 foot tightrope walk, blindfolded and going backwards. Aisikaier was not seriously injured.
Aisikaier tells news that he simply felt exhaustion. The effort had lasted one hour. The Dawa Zi acrobat was nearly his finish but felt unable to complete the walk. Less than 40 meters before completely the effort, Aisikaier began to lose his step. With just the aid of a poll, Aisikaier slipped and fell off the tightrope.
However, he was quick to grab the rope to prevent a fall into the ravine. In the end, he fell roughly 132 feet to a side embankment.
The acrobat says he was only slightly injured. He blames his slip on both exhaustion and wind. He has yet to tell news if he will make the attempt again.
Officials for China’s Hunan Province have yet to comment about the matter. No details have yet to be given about the permitting for the walk which allowed the acrobat to proceed with no safety harness.
