Robin Meade National Anthem Performance Heads to NASCAR Daytona Race

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Robin Meade (“HLN Morning Express with Robin Meade”) will perform the National Anthem at NASCAR this weekend. Robin Meade will perform Saturday July 7, 2012 at the Coke Zero 400. The race is the latest stop on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, heading to Daytona International Speedway.
Saturday’s appearance is the latest musical performance for Meade this year. “Brand New Day”, Robin Meade’s stellar debut country album, has drawn praise not just among TV viewers but also music critics. The album peaked at number twenty-five on iTunes during its debut week.
In 2010, Meade performed the Star Spangled Banner at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. As one fan noted at the time “That was GREAT, Robin! Good Morning Sunshine!” Another fan at time added “I had no idea you have such a wonderful voice! Super!”
In a news statement, Meade said this week “Singing and race cars have long been a part of my life”. She also told news “I feel so at home around the roar of the engines and the enthusiastic NASCAR crowd, many of whom I count as part of HLN’s morning TV family! I feel so honored to perform the National Anthem at the Coke Zero 400 in front of the racing community and fans.” For her 2010 performance, click HERE.

Robin Meade’s choice to sing the National Anthem completely destroyed the reverance and respect that should be bestowed by singing with a cell phone in her hand the whole time! The voice was very good but my (and many others who noticed) dislike for this behavior has permanently set a disdain for this tacky individual permanently in stone. I will post this message far and wide to be certain all possible will be reached and know the actions of this classless female. Just two minutes of your time to truly show the honor that should have been was just too much? Imagine that.

Well put Dana I saw that same performance and it WAS truly classless. I mean come on who in God’s green earth would sing the National Anthem with a cell phone in there hands???? Was she waiting for a phone call from her husband or something. One truly classless act I will never forget.
