Rick Calamaro Dead, Cause of Death Pending

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Rick Calamaro has been found dead. Rick Calamaro’s cause of death is pending, officials tell news. Rick Calamaro was attached to a series of leading Los Angles venues over the decades and recently served as Charlie Sheen’s former assistant.
In 2000, the predecessor to LALATE NEWS covered Rick Calamaro’s then new restaurant launched in West Hollywood, Cyrano. Early regulars at Calamaro’s spots at the time were Sheen, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. His venue Grand Ville was named for a car given to him by Sheen. Calamaro also delivered the Fenix Room at the Argyle Hotel.
By 2004, Calamaro and SGM were attached to leading Los Angeles spots Ivar, Nacional, Paladar and Lincoln and then added Venice Cantina and Nine Thirty. Two years later, it was Holly’s. He told the LA Times at the time “What you have to understand about what I’m doing, this whole thing, it comes down to one word,” he said. “Community.”
Thereafter, he added Tengu, a restaurant inside the W Hotel, and the Lincoln Steakhouse Americana in Santa Monica.
Autopsy results are pending. No official statement has yet to be released by family members. Funeral arrangements have not been announced to news.
