Beverly Hilton Hotel Murder Suicide Strikes Beverly Hills before Emmys: EXCLUSIVE

BEVERLY HILLS (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – A Beverly Hilton murder suicide has struck the famed Beverly Hills hotel hours before the 2012 Daytime Emmy Awards. A Beverly Hilton murder suicide erupted last night after a shooting was reported in the evening hours. The names of the victims have yet to be released to news.
Shortly before 11 pm last night, Beverly Hills Police purportedly received a 911 call of a shooting inside the famed hotel at 9876 Wilshire Boulevard. Officers have yet to tell news where in the Beverly Hilton the murder suicide erupted.
But, after responding to the hotel, police found dead a male and female patron. Beverly Hills Lt. Mark Rosen is not confirming the relationship between the two individuals. But in a news statement, Rosen said that his investigators are treating it as a murder-suicide.
Further details were not released to news. LA County’s Coroner’s Office was on scene before 6 am today. A mobile crime lab had been at the hotel since shortly after midnight last night.
LALATE was in the vicinity of the Hotel shortly after 10:30 PM last night. LALATE can report that four helicopters were in position, circling the airspace above the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard as the crime unfolded.
In a news statement today, officials indicated that the male and female victims were both elderly. The 39th annual Daytime Emmy Awards on HLN are slated for tonight. The Beverly Hilton said that the show will proceed tonight despite last night’s developments.
