Alex Bell, Inmate Fugitive, Escapes from Stroger Hospital

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Alex Bell, a Chicago inmate, has escaped from Stroger Hospital. Alex Bell is a wanted fugitive now being sought by Chicago police. Officials are warning residents that Bell is dangerous.
In a news briefing today, Chicago Police said they are unsure when Alex Bell escaped from the Illinois Department of Corrections. The prison inmate was at Stroger Hospital on a work release program today June 20, 2012. But at 6:08 am, hospital officials reported to news that Bell had escaped.
Bell is dressed in black shorts and a white t-shirt. Bell was an inmate on a residential burglary charge. Officials tell news that Bell is 5′11 and weighs 170 pounds. Bell reportedly had no accomplices with his escape.
Officials claim the escape was not particularly sophisticated. Bell reportedly just walked out the front of the hospital today. The hospital has yet to issue a statement to news. Bell is believed to still be in the Chicago area this morning. A news briefing is expected later today by officials.
