Czech Republic vs Poland 2012 Struggle for Euro 2012 Standings

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Today’s Czech Republic vs Poland soccer match is one of two European Championship Group A battles today. When Czech Republic vs Poland kicks off Saturday (en vivo 2:45 pm EST), both teams will battle to advance to the second round of the Euro 2012. Unlike other counties, these two teams are narrowly ranked in group standings. In fact, a mere one point is currently separating these two UEFA Euro 2012 Group A teams from either advancing to the next round or being sent home Saturday.
Standings through group play of the UEFA Euro 2012 haven’t been particularly close. But as news analysts reminded fans today, there is only three points separating the first place ranked team in Group A and the last ranked team.
Prior to today’s showdown, Czech Republic is currently in second place and in position to advance with three points. But Poland is in third place and in position to be eliminated.
Neither team has impressed news analysts with their offense through this month. In June, Czech Republic began group action by falling to the Russians in a 4-1 score. Days later, the team defeated Greece, however, in a 1-2 score. Poland, in contrast, has only scored two goals in two games so far. Poland, moreover, has yet to win a game, earning draws in its first two appearances.
Poland, moreover, has been inconsistent in International Friendly play since fall of last year. The team surprised news with a stunning 2-2 draw against powerhouse Germany. But then the team fell to Italy and earned a draw against Portugal. Most recently, Poland has won all its International Friendly matches, defeating Latvia, Slovakia and Andorra. Czech Republic, in contrast, earned a draw against Ireland in February and then defeated Israel last month. For live updates today, click HERE.
