Yvette Wilson Dead at 48, Moesha Star Dies

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Yvette Wilson is dead at 48. Yvette Wilson has died following a battle with cervical cancer and reportedly recent kidney failure. Online efforts began in recent months to raise funds to help pay for Wilson’s medical bills. At least fourteen thousand dollars was raised according to one website.
Wilson appeared on Moesha (UPN) and its spinoff the Parkers. Other reported projects included House Party 2, House Party 3, Friday, and Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam.
An online fundraising website said earlier this year “Yvette has experienced kidney failure, kidney transplants and cervical cancer, among other things.” It also told news that her “cancer has come back after an extended retreat, and doctors are saying it’s very aggressive this time out.”
Shar Jackson told news overnight “Everyone plz send prayer and light to my sister and best friend Yvette Wilson. I need my prayer soldiers right.” She later added “Oh God. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken. I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but God has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.” Reports claim that, since Moesha’s run, fellow co-stars Merlin Santana and Lamont Bentley have also both died.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced to news. Send your love.
