Philippines Earthquake Today 2012 Strikes East of Mindanao

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – A strong Philippines earthquake today struck east of Mindanao. The Philippines earthquake today June 15, 2012 was one of the strongest to rock the country this year; yet it also registered one of the largest depths in several weeks. No reports of injuries have yet to be indicated by local news.
A Philippines earthquake today erupted shortly after 9 am local time, USGS indicates to news. The Philippines temblor registered a 5.5 magnitude, but also delivered a significant depth. USGS reports to news that the quake erupted forty-three miles below the earth’s surface. As a result, the quake was not felt across a wide section of the region.
USGS indicates to news that the quake struck ninety-five miles east of Mindanao town General Santos. It was centered one hundred fourteen miles south of Davao. Local news puts the quake roughly five hundred miles west of Palau’s city of Koror and approximately sevne3 hundred miles south of Manila. No reports of damage have yet to be indicated by local news.
In related news, a 5.4 magnitude quake struck China today. USGS indicates to news that the quake struck the northern region of the county just before 6 am, registering a depth of twenty miles below the earth’s surface. The quake was centered roughly one hundred miles west of Korla, Xinjiang. The quake was also roughly two hundred miles south of Shihezi.
