Panama vs Cuba 2012 Renew Classic Rivalry Tonight

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Panama vs Cuba 2012 tonight will renew a classic rivalry on the soccer field. Panama vs Cuba 2012 (en vivo 9 pm EST) will help determine CONCACAF standing for Group 3 action, in the second of two games for the group today. Cuba earned a bye to the third round while Panama earned a bye to the second round. But after winning its Group last year, Panama advanced to the latest round of games in the CONCACAF.
Prior to tonight’s Panama vs Cuba soccer game, Panama came out of the smaller Group C in the second round. Unlike other groups last year, Group C had only three teams, official remind news. That came after the Bahamas announced to news on August 19, 2011 that they were withdrawing from the competition. Officials further told news that no team would replace the Bahamas.
Ultimately, Panama won the group, but only after two games. The team did, however, impress news analysts with a stunning eight goals in just two games.
Cuba, however, comes into tonight’s match after earning a bye to the third round. Previously, Cuba earned a stunning loss to Canada. Before twenty-thousand fans on June 8, Cuba couldn’t even score a goal.
For the Cubans, however, many wonder if lack of games this year will impact their skills. For the year 2012, the team has only played two key games, the match against Canada and an International Friendly match in February against Bolivia. Moreover, with a loss to Bolivia, Cuba hasn’t yet scored a goal this year.
For Cuba, tonight marks the first of four more qualifying matches this year. Cuba returns to the field again twice in September and then again twice in October, officials remind news. For live upstage, click HERE.
