The CONCACAF games will offer fans three matches this year, one this spring and two this fall in September and October. El Salvador advanced out of Group A where the team amassed eighteen points, compared to nearest competitor Dominican Republic. The team delivered two matches it which it kept its opponent scoreless, winning 4-0 victories. In another match, it narrowly inked a win with a 3-2 score.
As news analysts reminded fans this week, Mexico is one of six FIFA countries in the CONCACAF that didn’t compete in the second round, but earned a bye to the third round. Mexico earned a bye along with other counties like USA.
As a result, Mexico has turned to International Friendly action to keep the team prepared for the Third Round. The team, however, earned a win against Venezuela and loss to Colombia earlier this year. Most recently, Mexico shocked news with a 0-2 win against Brazil this month.
