ST LOUIS (LALATE) – An Auburn shooting 2012 today has left Edward Christian, Ladarious Phillips, and Demario Pitts dead; Xavier Moss and John Robertson are injured; and shooting suspect Desmonte Leonard is wanted. The Auburn University shooting yesterday June 9, 2012 left two former Auburn athletes dead.
Officials confirm to news that Desmonte Leonard is still currently wanted. They are advising the public that he is armed and dangerous. The death toll, moreover, could still rise.
In news briefing moments ago, police reported that former Auburn University football player Edward Christian was found dead at the scene. Ladarious Phillips, a former AU University football player, and Demario Pitts both died at EAMC.
Xavier Moss suffered injuries but has been released. Eric Mack, a current AU football player, was also treated and released. But shooting victim John Robertson is in “fighting for his life”, claim police Sunday.
The Auburn shooting happened 11pm Saturday at the University Heights apartments last night. A party erupted into a fight and then gunshot broke out. Police Chief Tommy Dawson tells WSFA “The only connection that the Auburn football program has to this is that they are victims of a brutal shooting.”
