LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A probable Joe Giudice jail time is prompting jeopardy for Teresa Giudice and brother Joe Gorga. Joe Giudice will head to jail for his criminal conviction even under a plea deal, Passaic County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Jay Mc Cann claims in a news statement this week. Joe Giudice’s attorney has yet to confirm a possible jail time. Be he did tell news that commentary about Joe by Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members is jeopardizing a possible jury pool for trial.
Joe Giudice’s criminal trouble has been discussed on RHONJ recently by Joe Gorga and other cast members. But Giudice’s attorney tells news that this chatter is hurting his client. “During several episodes of the ‘Housewives,’ persons appearing have discussed Joe’s case. They have a right to do so, but they should know better.” The attorney doesn’t mention the “persons” who have done so, but adds “comments made by those people can only prejudice Joe and taint the prospective jury pool.”
Since the criminal case erupted, Teresa Giudice has remained silent, in contrast. McCann tells news, however, that under any plea deal Joe will survey some jail time. McCann has reportedly rejected any probation sentence.
Coming into his criminal indictment, Giudice had thirty-nine points on his license. Those include Joe’s “speeding, leaving the scene of an accident, careless driving, failing to maintain lamps, failing to wear a seat belt, driving with a cell phone and failing to pay parking tickets.”
At issue in the case is Giudice’s alleged attempt to use his brother’s Pietro Giudicie’s marriage and birth certificate at a Paterson, N.J. DMV. Prosecutors claim that Giudice allegedly attempting to get a driver’s license at the DMV office falsifying his identity. Giudice had previously lost his license in a DUI, then served time in jail after driving with a suspended license.
This month, Giudice’s troubles are depicted on RHONJ. But Teresa has other troubles on the horizon, Caroline Manzo. “I hold Teresa responsible for a lot of relationships in my life that are hurting. Of course I fight with my brothers and sisters. … the differences, she puts the wood on my family’s fire. I put the lid on hers.” Caroline’s sister this weekend told news that Caroline’s accusations against Teresa are completely false.
