Body Parts in Mail Prompt Luka Rocco Magnotta Interpol Manhunt

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – After body parts in the mail put Canada on alert, a Luka Rocco Magnotta manhunt has now reached France. A series of body parts in the mail have prompted Interpol to get involved. Luka Rocco Magnotta (photos below) is the lead suspect in the case. He was in Canada earlier this week. Now authorities in an update today believe that Magnotta might have fled to France; they are seeking Interpol’s help.
Numerous body parts in the mail were discovered at key offices and mail circulation centers simultaneously on Tuesday. Officials in Ottawa and Montreal tell news that they identified the hands and feet belonging to the same man. When a joint task force of Ottawa and Montreal police went to Luka Rocco Magnotta’s home, they found a mattress covered in blood.
Then, behind Luka Rocco Magnotta’s home, they found a torso dismembered, tossed in a garbage dump. And while police do not know the name of the male victim, they confirm all the body parts in the mail and from the dump came from the same victim. Moreover, they tell news that Luka Rocco Magnotta knew the male victim.
Luka Rocco Magnotta may have eluded police, skipping into France using one of his numerous aliases. They include Eric Clinton Newman, Vladimir Romanov, and Thierry Bordalis, officials tell news.

The Globe and Mail is reporting today that Magnotta may have arrived in France this week. Officials also tell news that Magnotta is originally from Ontario but only relocated to Montreal recently.
“Police have never witnessed a crime scene such as this,” Montreal police Commander Ian Lafreniere said in a news statement today. Lafreniere, however, tells news that several body parts of the male victim remain missing. Hence, without those other body parts, Lafreniere claims he is having difficult identifying the victim.

The Globe and Mail is reporting today that “a spokesperson for the Montreal police confirmed on Thursday that investigators “have good reasons to believe that [Mr. Magnotta] has left the country.” ” Officials confirm to news that Magnotta changed his name from Eric Clinton Kirk Newman in 2006.

So is that video posted online of Magnotta? Officials would not comment who is depicted in the video. But a Montreal police officer confirms the video does depict a murder.
The Conservative Party officials who received the body parts in the mail are still reportedly traumatized by the discovery. Officials tell news that the murder was not random.

On Luka Rocco Magnotta’s website, he writes “I do not feel the necessity to address the specific accusations made in the posts since they are so far from my character that responding to them will give them more credibility than they will ever hold. If the readers of these posts can look behind the storyline that has been created, they will see that there is no reference to a concrete transaction or event that has taken place with any specific person in which I have committed any illegal activity.”
