Kim Kardashian Priceless Sunglasses Prompt Another Kardashian Airport Scandal
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Were Kim Kardashian’s “priceless sunglasses” stolen by British Airways? Kim Kardashian claims her belongings were stolen by British Airways employees this month. But if Kim’s latest accusations about airport thievery sound familiar, they should. This marks at least the second claim by Kim against an international airline carrier.
Kim Kardashian claims that British Airways employee(s) are now in possession of several of her personal items. Kardashian told news this week “Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental & not replaceable.”
While Kim K didn’t tell news what items were allegedly stolen, TMZ is reporting that Kim believes her priceless sunglasses were stolen, shades that “her dad, Robert Kardashian, gave her just before he died — sunglasses she only wore on very special occasions.” Now Kardashian is allegedly telling friends that, if British Airways doesn’t return her priceless sunglasses, she will go to law enforcement.
British Airways has yet to comment about the latest accusation. But this is not the first time that Kardashian, or someone connected with the family, has claimed items stolen from their luggage.
Adrienne Bailon battled a leaked pictures scandal in 2008. At the time, Bailon claimed her laptop was allegedly stolen from JFK Airport NYC in October. News reports in 2008 were skeptical about the Bailon theft claim since Kim Kardashian had asserted her own laptop had been stolen from the same airport in 2007.
In November 2007, Kim claimed that she had items stolen from her at JFK by Delta employees. “Delta is investigating Ms. Kardashian’s claim regarding the supposed loss of valuables from her baggage” the carrier told news at the time.
But Pasquale DiFulco, a spokesman for the Port Authority Police, told PEOPLE at the time “No report has been filed [by Kardashian] with our police department about any theft.” Kim at the time claimed that $50,000 worth of diamond jewelry from her luggage was stolen when she arrived at the New York airport.
