The Argentina earthquake today registered a 6.7 magnitude, USGS indicates to news. But the quake had a super depth, striking nearly four hundred miles below the earth’s surface. As a result, the quake’s range of motion was limited.
USGS indicates to news that shortly after 2 am local time the Argentina quake today struck the Santiago del Estero region. The quake was thirty-two miles northwest of Anatuya. USGS also reports the quake roughly one hundred fifty miles southeast of San Miguel de Tucuman. The quake was also approximately five hundred miles northwest of Buenos Aires.
In related news, a series of light earthquakes struck Los Angeles since Sunday. The latest erupted at 2:51 am and was located six miles from Palomar Observatory. USGS reports that the quake was roughly twelve miles east of Temecula, twenty-two miles from Escondido and forty-five miles northeast of San Diego.
