MacArthur Causeway Shooting Today Leaves Man Dead

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – A MacArthur Causeway shooting today left one man dead. The MacArthur Causeway shooting erupted after two men were reportedly running across the bridge, unclothed. Officials have yet to fully brief news about the shooting. But traffic was backed up after the shooting erupted Saturday.
Miami Police tell news that two men were fighting on North Bayshore Drive and NE 13th Street. For reasons still unclear, both men were unclothed. By 2pm, both men were reportedly seen running across the MacArthur Causeway. When police responded to the scene, officers fatally shot one man standing on the off ramp. The second man was wounded.
The dead victim could be seen on the side of the bridge’s pedestrian walkway, face down unclothed. In a news statement, Javier Ortiz, spokesman for Miami police’s Fraternal Order of Police, told the Miami Herald that a single gunshot killed the victim.
The second victim is being treated at a local area hospital. The identities of the two men have yet to be released to news.
