Harvard Apologizes for Unabomber Ted Kaczynski Red Book Remarks

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Harvard apologized Thursday for the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski’s comments published in the school’s Red Book directory. The Harvard University Alumni Association apologized for the remarks by Kaczynski published in the school’s new Red Book Directory for the Class of 1962.
According to the Boston Herald, Harvard allegedly did not, however, apologized for inclusion of Kaczynski in the Red Book. Rather, they apologized for the specific remarks by Kaczynski concerning his “awards”.
Kaczynski is listed in the current publication as a member of the Harvard Class of 1962. Kaczynski lists his profession / status as “prisoner”. But Harvard apologized allegedly not for that inclusion but the remarks that Kaczynski added. At issue were Kaczynski’s remarks about his “awards”. For “awards”, the Unabomber Harvard grad listed “Eight life sentences, issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, 1998.â€
Alumni associate communications director Joseph C. Raposo swiftly apologized for the awards remark. In a statement to news yesterday, Raposo said “While all members of the class who submit entries are included, we regret publishing Kaczynski’s references to his convictions and apologize for any distress that it may have caused others.”
