Marcella Marino Battles Lady GaGa Hair Bow Ban

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Marcella Marino wore her hair like a Lady GaGa hair bow for her school photo. But now Marino tells news that her Lady GaGa hair has turned in a local controversy. In the end, Marino has been left in tears and school officials aren’t apologizing.
Lady GaGa enormous hair bows inspired her young fan, Marcella. Marcella, 4, had an idea to give tribute to GaGa in her school portrait. Using her own long hair, Marcella Marino turn her father, Marcello, a professional hairstylist, to take her long hair and turn it into a hair bow. The result was adorable and completely natural.
But when Marcella wanted to take her school photo, her British school told her it was simply not acceptable. Marcella was left in tears. “When she went for the school photo on Monday she was told she wasn’t allowed to wear her hair in that style because of the dress code”, her father told the Daily Mail.
School officials are refusing to comment to news. Critics note that school has a strict policy against bows. But Marcello notes that the bow is his daughter’s real hair.

In February, Sydney Spies made national news for being told that her provactive clothing would not be allowed in her own U.S. yearbook photo. Spies wrote on Facebook at the time “The yearbook adviser and editors have decided to use my school ID picture as my senior photo. Since I went to NY, then had the flu they said I was too late to submit another Sr. picture”.

She added “They ALSO decided that I couldn’t use the ‘controversial’ picture in my ad anymore that I had already paid for, so I requested my money back. I also dropped my yearbook class because it’s become a hostile environment. What a lovely Sr. year this has turned out to be”.
