Obama Clinton Beef? Mitt Romney Confronts Clinton Doctrine

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Is there a Obama Clinton beef? Mitt Romney certainly thinks there might. The Obama Clinton beef suggestion came during a stop by Romney Tuesday in Iowa. Romney suggested that the Clintons and Obama may have a “personal beef”. Romney claimed the indication is Obama’s purported end of the Clinton Doctrine.
In addressing supporters Tuesday, Romney told news “It’s enough to make you wonder if maybe it was a personal beef with the Clintons. But probably that – it runs much deeper than that.”
Romney told news that Obama’s purported abandonment of the Clinton doctrine suggest that a beef exists between the two men. “President Obama tucked away the Clinton doctrine in his large drawer of discarded ideas, along with transparency and bipartisanship.”
Obama’s camp was quickly to dispel the reports. Lis Smith told news today “Mitt Romney simply wants to return to the same policies that caused the crisis and weakened the middle class: budget-busting tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and letting Wall Street write its own rules.â€
Romney further also asserted last night that Clinton advocated an end to big government. But Romney claims Obama hasn’t embraced that. “Almost a generation ago, Bill Clinton announced that the era of big government was over, even a former George McGovern campaign worker, like President Clinton, was signaling to his own party that Democrats should no longer try to govern by proposing a new program for every problem.â€
