LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Purported haunted LA hospital Linda Vista, famed for ghost hunters and Dexter roles, is becoming a retirement home. The famed “haunted LA Hospital” has not only been made news for being featured in countless film and TV projects but also for being credited as a home for the afterlife. But soon, your loved ones can live there too.
In a recent press junket, one reporter invited to visit the Linda Vista Hospital was actually told to show up wearing “closed toe shoes”. If that warning wasn’t enough, the pictures taken inside that hospital might convince you.
But for now, Maurice Ramirez, executive vice president of Am cal Multi-Housing Inc., says the former hospital will soon get a major facelift. A $40 million conversion will be made to the facility, used by Rob Zombie in projects, for senior assisted living.
But will the renovations get rid of the purported clams about ghosts? Hospital’s caretaker Francis Kortekaas will remember holding a child’s hand in the abandoned hospital, and sinks turning on when no one was around.
After being featured in “Pearl Harbor”, “True Blood” and “ER”, the hospital will get a get a new facelift and new residents. But for now, ghost hunters aren’t sure if the purported current residents are moving out either. For photos, click HERE.
