Loma Linda Hospital Enters Partial Lockdown After Bomb Threat

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Loma Linda Hospital is on partial lockdown after a bomb threat today. Loma Linda University Medical Center is on partial lockdown with its emergency room under evacuation, KABC7 is claiming moments ago. The concern began after a threat was made inside the Loma Linda Hospital emergency room today May 3, 2012.
KABC7 claims that at 9:18 am a person walked into the Loma Linda Hospital emergency room with a suspicious package strapped to his midsection. The news channel claims that the person claimed that the device was a bomb.
Loma Linda Hospital officials allegedly transported the man to a local parking structure south of the medical facility. Bomb squad is on scene. Officials have yet to identify the man and the package. Local news is reporting the man is in his fifties.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Bachman tells the Press Enterprise that they are still uncertain if the device is real. Persons are not being let into the ER within the hour.
