Taylor Welch, Arlie F. Hutchinson Middle School Teacher, Arrested

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Taylor Welch, a substitute teacher at Arlie F. Hutchinson Middle School in La Mirada, has been arrested. Taylor Welch, 22, is accused of having a relationship with a 13 year old student at the campus. Officials claim the purported relationship started on Facebook.
Officials claim that Taylor Welch and his female student allegedly began communicating through Facebook. Officials would not tell news if the female was one of Welch’s students. Welch is accused of sending scandal photos of him to the teen, exchanging text messages, even sending videos.
The case was revealed after the girl allegedly showed some of Welch’s purported scandal pics to another female friend. That friend told her parents who then reported the matter to school officials.
Welch has been charged and given a $140,000 bond. He is reportedly also a resident of La Mirada. School officials confirm to news that Welch was not employed at other schools across the Southland. Dr. Ruth Perez, Superintendent of Schools for the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, had no further comment about Welch’s arrest yesterday.
