LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – David Chaney posted Facebook photos of him protecting Sarah Palin as a Secret Service agent. David Chaney, allegedly linked to the Dania Suarez Colombia matter (photos below), is now further under fire for pictures and remarks about Sarah Palin. For the pictures, Chaney claimed he was checking out Sarah Palin, the same person he was dispatched to protect. Reports claim that Chaney is one of two men identified in the growing Colombia Secret Service scandal.
David Chaney was protecting Sarah Palin 2008. In one photo he posted to Facebook, David Chaney is emerging form the back of a Chevy Suburban. Chaney, in sunglasses, is staring at Palin from behind. Palin appears in the foreground.
Chaney was on assignment in the picture. But he posted a Facebook photo of his assignment thereafter. Moreover, Chaney allegedly added the remark that he was checking out the former vice presidential candidate he was dispatched to protect.
Chaney, 48, wrote on his 2009 Facebook wall “I was really checking her out, if you know what I mean?” He then “jokingly” calls himself Palin’s “stalker”.
Palin has since denounced the remarks and images. “I hope his wife … sends him to the doghouse — as long as he’s not eating the dog, along with his former boss.” Palin added, “Boys will be boys, but they shouldn’t be in positions of authority, and I think it’s pretty embarrassing.”
Chaney is married and a father. But the agent was also dispatched to supervise agents sent to Colombia.
In another photo posted to Facebook, Chaney, shows himself glancing at Palin from behind yet again. A third image shows him appearing at some outside function with what appears to be a female belly dancer.
Palin used the matter to claim that Barack Obama was responsible. “[Obama needs to] start cracking down on these agencies [..and make] some heads roll.”
Palin added “It’s like, who’s minding the store around here?” Palin further claimed “The president, for one, he better be wary, there, of when Secret Service is accompanying his family on vacation. They may be checking out the first lady instead of guarding her.”
