OXNARD (LALATE) – Stacie Halas allegedly appeared as Tiffany Six in photos and videos posted online. Stacie Halas allegedlyrecorded those Tiffany Six pictures before she was hired as a teacher at an Oxnard School. After the pics surfaced during a school investigation, Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School officials put Halas on leave. Now they confirm they have fired Halas.
Stacie Halas allegedly appeared as film actress Tiffany Six in a series of video productions. News reports claim that the filmed videos were authored years before Halas was hired by the Oxnard School District. But the school still launched an investigation.
Halas allegedly appeared on screen as Tiffany Six in films like “Pizza”. But after Halas’ alleged work surfaced at her middle school, Oxnard School District trustees put her on leave pending further investigation.
Last night, Oxnard School District trustees met to discuss the situation. They voted to fire Halas from her position at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School, officials tell news. This was reportedly the second vote by the trustees on the matter in two months. But last night that decision was reached.
District Supt. Jeff Chancer in a news interview with the Ventura County Star explains the ruling. “The issue really is … it would still cause a disruption having her return as a teacher in our school district.”
Officials claim that students found the pictures online, then told school administrators, who then alerted District officials. District officials then dispatched attorneys to investigate the matter while Halas was on leave.
Halas has yet to tell news if she intends to fight the firing. She has thirty days to appeal the matter to an administrative law judge, claims XBIZ.
The Free Speech Coalition has previously denounced similar such rulings. It told the LA Weekly “There are many performers that are educated and have clean records – then, when they decide they would like to move on to another career, they find the only strike against them is that they have a history as an [film] performer. ”
“We’re trying to determine if there’s a nexus on what she does on her own time and what she does in the classroom,” Oxnard School District Superintendent Jeff Chancer previously told the Smoking Gun.
Chancer has also told news that he thinks there should be a moral code at play. “Maybe it’s not a crime as far as the penal code is concerned, but we feel it’s a crime as far as moral turpitude is concerned.”
The issue has confronted not just alleged female film stars but also alleged male stars. In November, teacher Kevin Hogan aka alleged film actor Hytch Cawke was under fire. FOX 25’s “undercover” reporters revealed that teacher Kevin Hogan allegedly was former male film star Hytch Cawke. “Hogan has worked at the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Malden since September. In addition to his coaching and teaching duties, he also chairs the high school’s English department” claimed FOX.
Also in 2011, Heidi Kaeslin’s alleged conduct prompted debate. Heidi Kaeslin was praised by her students. But outside the classroom, she had a second alleged job. On at least one of her websites, Heidi Kaeslin appeared fully clothed wearing an “I Heart Teachers” t-shirt.
