Dancing with the Stars Results Tonight 2012 Prompt Elimination for Gavin DeGraw

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Dancing with the Stars results tonight 2012 prompted an anticipated elimination. Prior to Dancing with the Stars results for April 17, 2012, most news analysts thought Gladys Knight and Melissa Gilbert were in danger of elimination, while some fans disagreed. The two dancers have trailed other competitors in scoring in recent weeks. But tonight, Dancing with the Stars increased the suspense with the adding of a dance off.
In Dancing with the Stars results last week, many thought Knight’s poor scores would prompt her elimination. This week, Knight improved in scoring. But she still trailed overall.
Coming into to this week, Knight and Gilbert were tied with eighty-six overall points, while Gavin was slotted at eighty-eight points. The rest of the dancers had earned more than ninety points, and some even more than a hundred.

But Gilbert didn’t improve this week. She earned a twenty-one for her salsa, the judges told news last night. Len told her “I saw great rhythm and feel” but he felt the dance wasn’t tight. Bruno said that the movements were good but not consistent throughout. And Carrie Ann told news that Melisa had improved. But “There’s an element of control that is lacking.”
Two weeks ago, Melissa was producing twenty-four scores, however. At the time, Len told her “well done”. Bruno said her jive showed improvement. And Carrie Ann exclaimed “I loved it, I thought you were so dynamic.”

Gavin, ironically, was the lowest scoring dancer this week. He and Playboy’s Karina Smirnoff just couldn’t pull it together on the samba. Len told news it that it was more “shamba than a samba”. Bruno said he enjoyed it. But Carrie Ann thought it really wasn’t a samba.
Knight, who has been popular with fans, improved this week. Her samba earned her a twenty-two. Len said it was “well done”. Bruno said that Knight plays to the audience well. And Carrie Ann said “you command the stage”.

The highest scoring dancers before this week were Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, and Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower. This week, Jenkins was dominating again. She made news on Monday, scoring a twenty-eight for her tango. Len said it “had beauty, but underneath the surface is the thorn”. Bruno said the dance had the “highest quality” of the night. And Carrie Ann remarked that “it was perfection.”
But in the end, eliminated tonight was Gavin DeGraw.
