Cop Without a Badge Danielle Staub Ignites Bravo Again, Today

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Cop Without a Badge Danielle Staub scandal of 2009 returns to Bravo today. Cop Without a Badge, the stunning accusation about Beverly Merrill, and Danielle Staub’s defense of the accusations by RHONJ cast members, reignites Bravo’s telecasts Monday.

As Bravo prepares viewers for the return of the new season of RHONJ, one previous storyline is making news, yet again, today. When Cop without a Badge suddenly became the storyline-by-ambush tactic of May 2009, news reporters clamored to get a copy of the book. Soon, Cop without a Badge became one of the biggest sought after out-of-print book of the month. Bravo said at the time “Next week, we learn that Danielle, and possibly her mug shot, is featured in the now out-of-print “Cop Without a Badge,” the true-life story of a former con turned criminal informant. “

The publisher in 1995 told news that its book was about “Former FBI and Secret Service agent Kevin Maher”. Maher in turn “describes the intervention that prevented him from following a life of crime and recounts his dangerous career in which he solved homicides, targeted the mafia, and fought in the dr–g war.”

What does Teresa Giudice think of Danielle now? In February 2011, in a bizarre news interview, Teresa was asked if she still thinks about Danielle. Teresa’s response was simple. “I kinda miss [Danielle].” Staub’s response was that she wants Teresa out of her life, stating “the feeling isn’t mutual”.

At the time, Teresa appeared on WWHL. During her news interview, host Andy Cohen read a tweet from Staub. Teresa told news later “Last night on the WWHL after show Andy read me a tweet from Danielle Staub (!)”. Teresa claimed that Danielle, after leaving the show, had allegedly contacted Melissa Gorga before she joined the show.

The alleged email read “@melissagorga Melissa Did you ever tell Teresa you were contacting me constantly? Did you tell Tre you wanted to come on with me last season To get back at her? and every time you & Tre’s brother begged me to come on w me-I said no!”. Staub has since told news there was nothing “funny” about appearing on Housewives. “It was very painful.” Giudice and Gorga return in a new season in the coming weeks.
