Swamp People Sink Pauly D Project in Thursday Overall Ratings: EXCLUSIVE

CORAL GABLES (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – The Pauly D Project and Punk’d were no match for Swamp People last Thursday night in overall ratings. Swamp People, the masterful ratings sensation from the History Channel, sunk the Jersey Shore star’s new spinoff show in last Thursday’s overall ratings; but Pauly D ended the night beating the Swamp in the key demographic for the evening.
Neilsen ratings tells news that Thursday’s unveiling of the Pauly D Project, team with Punk’d, was a ratings hit for MTV in the key 18-49 demographic. Punk’d and Pauly finished second and third overall for the key demographic, pulling in 2.0 and 1.9 million viewers, respectively. The second place winner overall that night, and its demographics winner, was the Oklahoma City vs. Lakers game on TNT.
But continuing its ratings domination was Swamp People. Neilsen tells news that Pauly D pulled in 2.9 million overall viewers. Swamp People nearly doubled that, with more than 4.3 million overall viewers Thursday. The History Channel hit finished first for the night overall, fourth in the key demographic. Produced by Original Media, Swamp People is narrated by Pat Duke and was developed by Dolores Gavin.
In related news, Dog the Bounty Hunter on Wednesday night didn’t build on the countdown to Leland Chapman’s and Duane Lee’s exit. The still strong Dog finished sixteen in the key demographic, but ninth overall for the night. With the future of the Chapman brothers in question, A&E’s already has a new hit series with Duck Dynasty. The Duck debuted strong, finished fifth in the key demographic and eleventh overall for the night, officials confirm to news.
