ORANGE COUNTY (LALATE EXCLUSIVE) – Real Housewives of Orange County is disproving a massive industry ratings slump among reality shows this season. While some analysts think that all reality shows are slumping in the ratings, that answer rests with RHOC. Real Housewives of Orange County season seven has been breaking records, not just for the franchise, but also for Bravo, officials tell news.
Real Housewives of Orange County season seven has skyrocketed in ratings this season. Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi have helped the series skyrocket up from the show’s lowest 2009 numbers. Last week, RHOC drew into its web of 1980s fashions 2.1 million viewers, Nielsen tells news.
RHOC has been resonating well with viewers because of its cast members. You can’t however say the same thing of Jeff Lewis and other new Bravo series. Jeff Lewis failed horribly last week with a mere 788,000 viewers for the debut of his new series. He finished in twenty-first place of cable shows his night.
While RHOC ratings keep growing, other reality shows are tanking. Dancing with the Stars last night posted its worse numbers in recent memory. DWTS deceived its lowest Nielsen ratings ever for a season debut. And on Sunday, The Celebrity Apprentice posted its worse ratings numbers ever.
So can RHOC continue to grow? Fans will learn tomorrow when ratings come out for this week’s telecast.
