LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Kenneth Richard Mazik drove drunk on to Philadelphia International Airport’s runway, claim police. Kenneth Richard Mazik was arrested today for DUI after he drove his car, not just through the Philly Airport, but also on its runways.
Kenneth Richard Mazik, 24, is a resident of Chadds Ford. But for reasons still unknown today, he decided to drive his car through airport barriers, head onto the runways, and continue a high speed pursuit through airplanes.
The FAA had to close the airport for roughly a half hour until Mazik could be stopped. During the turmoil, two of four runways were closed for departures and arrivals.
Mazik later took a trip of his own to a local jail where he was charged for DUI and reckless endangerment. Chief Inspector Joe Sullivan tells news that Mazik wasn’t a terrorist, just an allegedly very drunk man. Mazik is currently under psychiatric evaluation as well.
