CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – The Premios Billboard 2012 nominations announced today to news were dominated by Don Omar, Pitbull and Prince Royce. The Billboard Latin Music Awards (los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina) nominations for 2012 even included nods for Katy Perry and Rihanna.
Los Premios Billboard nominations were led today by Don Omar. Don Omar picked up sixteen nominations in fourteen categories. Pitbull earned fourteen nods, Prince Royce received twelve, and Mana earned eleven, officials confirmed to news.
Earning ten nominations today were Aventura, Romeo Santos, and Shakira. The Awards will be handed out April 26 at Bank United Center at the University of Miami. The telecast will air en vivo on Telemundo. Jennifer also Lopez picked up nominations as well along with Ne-Yo, and Afrojack.
Artist of the Year nominations went to Mana, Prince Royce, Romeo Santos and Shakria. Don Omar picked up two of four Song of the Year nominations for Danza Kuduro (with Lucenzo) and Taboo. The songs Give Me Everything and Corazon Sin Cara gave nominations to Pitbull featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer, and Prince Royce, respectively.
