Walmart Downtown Los Angeles Store Confirmed for Chinatown Location

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Walmart Downtown Los Angeles is confirmed for a Chinatown location. Walmart tells news that its Downtown Los Angeles location will serve thousands of customers in a new thirty-three thousand square foot facility. The location’s address will be in the 700 block of west Cesar Chavez Avenue, near Chinatown.
In a news statement this weekend, Walmart said that is new Downtown Los Angles location will be the first Neighborhood Market within Los Angeles county. The concept of Neighborhood Markets was launched by the retailer across the country in 1998. To date, Walmart now offers nearly two hundred such locations.
The opening date for the new Walmart Downtown Los Angeles has not yet been confirmed. In 2007, Kroger opened Ralphs Market near Staples Center. Ralphs was the first supermarket to open in Downtown Los Angeles in fifty years.
The Walmart will be located in the first floor of a building at 701 W. Cesar E. Chavez Ave. Los Angeles city currently has five Walmarts. The county currently has twenty-eight stores.

It’s a d mn shame that the walmart folk are able to push their cr p on the rest of the working class. And I haven’t been in a Walmart in 15 years…
