Nick Cannon Health Update Prompts 92.3 Exit

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – A Nick Cannon health update has prompted his exit from 92.3 NOW radio station. Nick Cannon suffered blood clots on his lungs recently. Now Cannon tells news that his health has prompted his exit from a daily local radio show.
Cannon for two years has hosted the morning program on CBS Radio station 92.3 NOW in New York City. But Cannon tells his Rollin with Nick Cannon audience that his doctor wants him to quick the gig. Cannon splits time between Los Angles and New York.
“My doctor was saying that my work is going to kill me—and he’s not joking,” Cannon said in a news statement today. “I think part of the reason why my health did kind of deteriorate was because I wasn’t resting a lot and I was doing too much. I was overworking myself, working out too much.”
“It was quite serious,” Cannon added. He also tells news Friday “I was trying to downplay it a lot, even in my own mind. I travel a lot. Anyone who flies a lot can be a victim to getting blood clots because it can start in your legs or your lower back. That, on top of my previous condition made me more prone to it.”
The station supports Cannon’s decision. In a news statement today, CBS said “We respect and understand Nick’s decision to step down from his day to day position as host of morning drive on 92.3 NOW, and fully support him as he takes on a less demanding role with the station in order to address his health.” It added “Everyone at the station and all of the CBS RADIO family wish him well, and look forward to his continuing contributions to 92.3 NOW.“
