Young Lee of Pinkberry Arrested at LAX

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Young Lee of Pinkberry has been arrested. Young Lee founded Pinkberry with Shelly Hwang in 2005. Lee and Hwang opened a West Hollywood location at the time before the company was expanded to more than one hundred locations worldwide. Last night, Lee was arrested by at LAX.
Young Lee was arrested for an outstanding warrant for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon. Lee was taken to the LAPD’s Pacific Division for booking. His bail was set last night at sixty thousand dollars. It remains unclear is out on bail currently.
The warrant was issued stemming from a June 2011 alleged assault in Los Angeles. Officials confirm the arrest was effectuated by the LAX Fugitive Task Force. A combined effort of LAPD and FBI agents was utilized in the arrest.
Lee has yet to comment about the matter. Details of the underlying June matter were not released to news.
