CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Steve Thomas (aka Stephen Wesley Thomas) has been arrested. A mugshot photo of Steve Thomas, a professional golfer on the Senior PGA Tour, has been released to news moments ago in the massive sting dubbed Operation Red Cheeks. More than three dozen people have been arrested in Operation Red Cheeks. Forty people are now facing charges in Osceola County today.
Thomas is a University of Southern Mississippi graduate who has earned fourteen thousand dollars on the Senior PGA this year. His residence is listed as Nesbit, MS.
Also arrested are Bryan Allan Woodward. Woodward is the 29 year old head coach of the Gator Swim Club. Alexander Roy, 32, was also arrested. He is an eighth grade teacher in Port St Lucie.
Prosecutors claim that the men traveled to intermediately homes in Osceola County. The purpose of their trip was allegedly to have relations with children. Prosecutors claim that alcohol and other narcotics were also brought to the meetings. “This operation should also be a warning to all parents to monitor and be involved with their child’s computer activities,” Osceola County Sheriff Bob Hansell said in a news statement.
Thomas was arrested on multiple charges including use of a computer to seduce, solicit or entice a parent. Thomas and the PGA have yet to comment about the matter.
