Bryan Woodward, Gators Swim Club Head Coach, Arrested

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Bryan Woodward, Gators Swim Club Head Coach, has been arrested. Officials confirm Bryan Woodward was among the forty men arrested in a massive sting operation concerning alleged solicitation of children for relations via the internet.
The operation dubbed Operation Red Cheeks was conducted by a special task force earlier this month. Officials released the names of the forty people arrested today. But earlier this month, Swimming World had already confirmed Woodward’s arrest.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement launched a eight day sting operation earlier this month. But Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force confirmed to news today that a teacher, college students, and even a Senior PGA golfer, have been arrested.

Bryan Allan Woodward, of Gainesville, is charged with travel to seduce a child to commit acts, and use of the computer to solicit.
Undercover detectives confirm to news that they were able to track the activity commencing in chat rooms and instant messaging programs. Images were exchanged. One suspect reportedly travel as far from Alaska. But police were all successful in arresting the men all within Osceola County.

“It is our understanding that Bryan Woodward is in police custody and has been terminated from Gator Swim Club following an arrest this week. Our Athlete Protection staff has initiated USA Swimming’s internal review and disciplinary process.” USA Swimming spokesperson Jamie Olsen told Swimming World earlier this month.
