Kate Gosselin Cruise Prompts Non Love Boat Reaction

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Kate Gosselin’s new cruise 2012 is not getting a love, nor Love Boat like, reaction from some insiders. Kate Gosselin is getting her own cruise boat for 2012. But some fans are not so enamored by the idea of the former reality TV star offering a celebrity-filled trip at sea.
For Gosselin, love was in the air, at least when there was a reality tv show. But now the former TLC star has sought new employments. So she is set ready to take a chance again, on something exciting and new. But not everyone is ready to come aboard.
Alice Travel is offering a Kate Gosselin Caribbean adventure in August 2012. But when one website, Cruise Critic, asked their readership if they would rather set sail with or without Kate. Forty-five percent of readers said they would promptly cancel their trip if Kate was coming along.
The website claims that “more than 45 percent of readers who voted in our poll said they’d cancel their cruise if she were onboard. Even if that cruise were on the largest ship in the world, Royal Caribbean‘s 5,400-passenger Allure of the Seas.”
The website doesn’t detail how much Kate will get for the new job. But Jo Piazza, author of Celebrity Inc.: How Famous People Make Money, tells news that a typical celebrity could make twenty-five thousand dollars to appear on a cruise.
What is the draw to have Gosselin on the ship? The cruise operator says travelers will be able to “learn a new craft from the professional herself”. It remains unclear what professional craft Kate actually knows.
