LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Tyron Perez is dead, claims reports. Tyron Perez has died following a suicide, claims multiple local news reports moments ago. Perez was 26 years old. Tyron Perez was best known for his appearance on StarStruck in 2003.
After Perez appeared in the reality talent show, he moved on to the 2006 film Twilight Dancers playing the role of Dwight. But at least three reports within the half hour are claiming that Perez has died following a suicide in a car.
Mark P. Salazar is reporting the news on Twitter within the hour. He writes “Young actor Tyron Perez committed suicide.” MJ Felipe reported the same, initially writing “We’re verifying a report about a young actor. Oh my lord. Sana hindi totoo.” He later added “relax guys, still verifying”. His most recent tweet to news states “Tyron Perez found dead in an abandoned car in Valenzuela”.
Wikipedia has been updated to report the same news as well. It now reads “On December 29, 2011, Tyron Perez died due to committed suicide in a car accident in Valenzuela. He is the second StarStruck member who died in the month of December after Marky Cielo.” The site also added news that “According to the tweet of Mark Salazar @MarkSalazarGMA7: Young actor Tyron Perez committed suicide. on December 29, 2011. He’s dead. Please pray for his family and friends. He is now trending currently globally on twitter because of his suicide.”
Prior to StarStruck, Tyron appeared on Kuya Germs’ Master Showman Presents’ Walang Tulugan. Tyron also appeared in the teen group MSP Teenstars.
Fans have been in shock within the hour. “First there was AJ Perez, now it’s Tyron Perez” wrote one fan. Another wrote “Alright, apparently, he was found dead to have committed in an abandoned car … RIP Tyrone Perez.” One fan commented “Tyron is the second Starstruck who died in the month of December after Marky Cielo.”
Perez’s last message on Twitter was in November. He wrote on the 24th of that month, “I do my thing and you do yours. You are you and I am I.” He added “All parts of the human body get tired eventually – except the tongue.” He had not posted a remark this month on Twitter.

UPDATE: Police are confirming Perez’s death but not confirming the suicide. First, Ahna Mejia, chief public information officer of Valenzuela City, tells local radio news today that Perez was found dead in an abandoned car. The Toyota Altis was parked near Que Grande in Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela City. The car was near the North Luzon Expressway. Mejia would not confirm the cause of death to 990AM news this morning.
Second, Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor, is also confirming news of Perez’s death but not the suicide. Mayor says that Perez suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his head. Mayor would not confirm news if the gunshot was self-inflicted or not.
