ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Antwaun Cook (photos below) might be Fantasia Barrino’s baby daddy. But Antwaun Cook’s name is not mentioned by Fantasia Barrino in news statements about her baby birth. Fantasia Barrino allegedly was pregnant with Antwaun Cook’s child before. And while Barrino has consistently claimed that she is an open book to her fans, she is not telling fans, yet again today, who is her baby daddy.

In October, Barrino told the Wendy Williams Show that she is pregnant and that her due date is December 29. But she refused to identify the baby daddy. “I’m having a boy. I’m at home, I’m on bed rest right now.” PEOPLE noted at the time that Barrino “still has not spoken about the baby’s father”.

She did the same with her fans that month. In Jacksonville, Barrino told patrons “You are the first persons that I share this news with,” she told patrons. “And I share this with you because I can relate to you, And for a while I walked around figuring out what will they say and what will they think about me.” She added “But now I tell you, I don’t live my life for folk. So this child that I carry, God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of y’all.” She made no mention of the child’s father.

On Tuesday, Barrino issued her a fourth news statement, now to PEOPLE. Many celebrities often don’t announce the birth of their child initially, omit their names, or their birth weight and size. But Barrino released all those details to PEOPLE this week. But one detail she left out was the baby’s daddy.

In a news statement to PEOPLE she said “I feel so blessed that my son Dallas Xavier was born healthy, and is a wonderful new addition to our family. I thank all my fans for their well wishes and continued support.” She would not indicate if the family includes Cook, prompting PEOPLE to note “Barrino has not spoken about the baby’s father”.  Yet the magazine confirms that Barrino and Cook are still in love and dating.

Barrino has defended herself. “Fantasia has always been an open book. Honesty, self-respect, and personal responsibility are values she wears proudly” said a Barrino rep in December 2010. Antwaun Cook however is still not divorced from his wife Paula Cook.
