LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Oscar Maron Filho is dead at 56 after suffering a heart attack Sunday. Oscar Maron Filho is the Brazilian director of the documentary “Mario Filho, The Creator of Crowds”. Filho was in the middle of a panel discussion at the 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) when he suffered cardiac arrest. He died later at a local area hospital.

Festival officials confirm to news that Filho was rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital but could not be revived. India’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni issued a news statement following the tragic death.

Soni said Filho’s “loss is irreparable”. Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamath tells news “It is most unfortunate that we lost one of the most important delegates during the film festival. We condole his death.”

Funeral arrangements are set for Brazil this Wednesday. Filho’s other films included Bye Bye Romario, Pelé, O Papa Da Bola and Pelé EO Gol Mil.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Ab Fab Christmas 2011 special released its first preview video clip this week. The Ab Fab Holiday special will help usher in a new 2012 season of Absolutely Fabulous coming to U.S. viewers on the LOGO cable channel.

Three years ago, someone at FOX thought it would make sense to “recast” Absolutely Fabulous. The horrid idea never became a reality. Then, in 2010, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders told news that the original cast was interested n reunited. “Let’s talk through it. What do you think?” And I said, ‘Bring it on.’ “

In August 2011, BBC confirmed news that the cast would return for a Christmas 2011 Special. This weekend, the first preview clip of that special was released to news. Eddy exclaims “Alright, darling, more blog, more flog … ‘my favorite cheese’ that sort of thing. … Yes Twitter that, Twitter that. Just don’t let my mother in.”

In 2007, LALATE reported that Roseanne had allegedly bought the American adaption rights to the hit French/Saunders production. Yet, in August of that year, reports claimed Ab Fab rights were allegedly locked up by the Roseanne deal, despite no deal to bring new seasons to U.S. viewers.

In August this year, BBC confirmed that AB Fab would be returning to LOGO and BBC for a three episode season in 2012. Jennifer Saunders (Edina), Joanna Lumley (Patsy), Julia Sawalha (Saffy), June Whitfield (Mother), and Jane Horrocks (Bubble) are all returning. Saunders told news “Nevertheless we are so happy to be working for an audience that has grown just a tiny bit older, like us, but is still willing to let us fall over on TV in the name of PR.”

What will the 2012 episodes be about? The first episode will debut a storyline about a “life changing experience”. In the second episode, Eddy signs a new major talent. And in the third episode, the cast will prepare for the London 2012 Olympics.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lawrence Taylor’s “C.F.” victim is filing a lawsuit. The woman identified “C.F.” will file suit against Lawrence Taylor aka LT and will hold a news conference for press today. Gloria Allred and C.F. have previously addressed news. And while the victim’s face but not name have been revealed, that will reportedly change today.

C.F. was 16 years old when she met Lawrence Taylor. She is now eighteen years old. In New York today, CF and Allred will confirm that they are filing a lawsuit against the football great. The suit will concern trafficking and will be announced at 2 pm EST at the Marriot Marquis.

In June 2010, Lawrence Taylor was indicted on multiple counts. Taylor’s agent Mark Lepselter told press a month earlier “But I’ve known Lawrence for 20 years and I’ve never see him this distraught.” He also said “We firmly contend he is innocent of the charges and will be fully exonerated.”

Six monthly later, Taylor pleaded guilty to the charges. Lawrence Taylor was accused of giving CF $300 for relations. CF was described by news at the time as a 16 year old runaway who hadn’t been seen by her parents for several weeks.

In March this year, CF appeared in court with Allred and asked the Court to read a statement. The court ruled that victim statements are not allowed in misdemeanor matters. Allred later addressed news. “We look forward to representing her as she continues her fight for justice.” She added that Taylor “should be in the hall of shame, not the Hall of Fame.”

Taylor later told news that he felt no guilt. During a FOX News interview, Taylor said “I’m not the cause of [the problem]. And sometimes I make mistakes and I may go out there, but I didn’t pick her up at no playground” he explains. “She wasn’t hiding behind the school bus or getting off a school bus.”

Taylor told news there was nothing wrong with what he did because the girl allegedly lied about her age. “This is a working girl that came to my room. And I don’t know what her age was. I asked her age. She told me she was 19. It is what it is.” He added “I don’t card them. I don’t ask for birth certificate.”

In June, Rockland County Court Judge William Kelly ruled Lawrence Taylor would get Level 1 offender. “The difference between Level 1 and 2 is almost minuscule because of the notification that has already gone out to the world. [It ...] would be awfully foolish [for Taylor] to go out and do this again.”

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Zainab Bibi confessed to cooking her husband like Omaima Nelson, cops tell news. Zainab Bibi is accused of killing her husband, and then cooking him for a holiday dinner. If Bibi’s alleged crime sounds familiar, it should. Twenty-years ago this  week, Omaima Nelson did the same thing to her husband. And while it remains unclear if Zainab Bibi also allegedly ate her husband like Nelson, the arrested wife tells news she feels no regrets.

Twenty years ago, Southern California residents gathered around the dinner table to celebrate in an annual tradition. On Thanksgiving 1991, Omaima Nelson and William Nelson were newlyweds. She was a 24 year old former model and nanny from Egypt. He was 56 year old retired pilot who brought her to live with him in Costa Mesa.

Shortly before Thanksgiving, Nelson claimed that she was attacked one night by her husband. Asserting she had no one to turn to, she claims fought back and killed her husband in self defense with scissors and an iron. Prosecutors claimed she attacked him for his money.

By the end of the Thanksgiving evening, Nelson killed her husband, chopped him up, and feasted on her husband’s ribs with a side of BBQ sauce. She also confessed “Nothing tastes as good as the man I married.”

When she couldn’t find a place to dispose of her husband, Omaima Aree Nelson dismembered him and skinned him. She then boiled, breaded, and deep fried his body parts, a jury found. She later told her psychiatrist that she dined on her husband, even dipping his ribs in barbeque sauce.

Now twenty years later, another woman is accused of carving up her husband for Holiday dinner as well. Last Tuesday, Zainab Bibi, 32, was arrested for the murder of Ahmad Abbas. Zainab Bibi allegedly was concerned that her husband wanted to commit a crime against their daughter. So she claims she killed him, and cooked him, instead.

Zainab Bibi allegedly used her nephew to assist her in the crime. Police tell news that Zainab Bibi confessed to the crime. Neighbors called police after smelling something peculiar. When they responded, they allegedly found Bibi surrounded by pieces of her husband in boxes and on the stove. IBT reports that the woman “cooked the body in parts, with spices and aromatic ingredients, that would curb the stench.” But apparently it didn’t work; the stench was too strong, and neighbors called police.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Occupy LA evictions today have prompted arrests. Occupy LA evictions from City Hall began shortly after midnight. But after several protesters refused to leave, a series of arrests followed.

Local officials confirm that evictions of Occupy LA protesters began shortly after midnight last night. “Evictions” amounted to police using bullhorns to ask protesters to close up tents and leave. At that point, many of the protesters were out of the camp, marching in protests down neighboring streets. But rather than leave, many of the Occupy LA protesters went back into the camps and remained through morning.

At least four protesters were arrested by 5 am local time. They were reportedly arrested not for remaining in the camp but for refusing to clear the streets. Yet despite the arrests, LAPD tells news that force will not be deployed “at this point” to evict Occupy LA. Rather bullhorns will continue to be employed throughout the morning.

LAPD tells news that, amid concerns of being arrested, protesters ended demonstrations this morning and went back into their camps. LAPD officers are still in place in a blockade around 1st and Main. Yet local news video shows some protesters propelling objects at the LAPD officers.

Officials confirm to news that the initial concern is to keep streets clear, and protesters out of the boulevards, in advance of Monday’s return to work. Further plans to effectuate the “eviction” have yet to be confirmed to news.
